Re: Hyundai Confirms SAE Combo 100 kW Fast Charging For IONIQ Electric

Adding new info just available (which is why this thread has been 'bumped'): Well, it looks like super-duper high-speed DCFC charging is right around the corner. ChargePoint will be rolling it out (?installed?) in July 2017. There will be liquid-cooled cables/handles! It looks like plug types can b...

I just watched Bjorn's video again and he averaged 44 kW/hr. I heard the Bolt EV will throttle to 24 kW/hr at 70% SOC.

Anyone have charging videos of Ioniq on DC fast chargers?

1. What's the average charging speed?
2. Any throttling like the Bolt EV?

The scooter is part of the Ioniq package. It should stay. Solves the last mile problem. Mid age men on scooter would be comical.

Re: 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

Thanks jeju. You asked why someone would get the Ioniq over the Bolt EV. I think Hyundai was asking the same question and came up with Ioniq unlimited. Ioniq unlimited: Monthly plan Term:24,36 months Miles allowed: unlimited Maintenance: Free Electricity: Free I have a 80 mile commute in Southern Ca...

Re: 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

I've been activity reading all the post. Keep posting on this site. I think Hyundai should skip the US release until the 200 mile version comes out. US is SUV, truck territory. Disadvantages 1. Electric. 2. Compact car. 3. Low range. 4. High price. 5. Low performance. It seems like the Niro will hav...
