Battery cooling?

I know the Ioniq had a decent battery warranty, but I can't find any information on the cooling system.

Does the Ioniq Electric have a cooling system? Or is it like the e-Golf with nothing to protect the battery from overheating during charging?

Ioniq EV vs the Chevrolet Bolt

I haven't had a change to test drive a Bolt yet, and I'm waiting to get near an Ioniq Electric. Just for comparison, I know a lot of people are thinking the Bolt is a better choice because of all the extra range. However, for $7500 less, the Ioniq has more cargo space, charges faster, and seems to h...

Re: UK Ioniq Electric Availability and Dealership update

Thanks for following up!

It's interesting that Hyundai is only allowing certain dealers to even order the IONIQ Electric (except in your special case) until stock increases... I wonder how they chose dealerships, since yours even has EV certified techs?!

Re: Ioniq Battery 88kWh

The IONIQ EV battery is 28 kWh - is the 88kWh a typo? Or is Green Car Reports talking about a possible future vehicle?

Re: Warranty comparisons between the major manufacturers

That lifetime battery-failure warranty applies to the Hybrid, EV, and PHEV versions of IONIQ.

Interesting note that you found it applies to original owner only!
Do you have a link to the site where you found that?

Re: UK Ioniq Electric Availability and Dealership update

Congrats! Another early June arrival!

In the USA the EV is supposed to be available nationwide, there is no indication of EV and non-EV dealerships.
Can you explain that a little bit? Is it the dealerships choice not to stock the EV? Or is it because they aren't trained in repair of the EV yet or?

Re: Hyundai Ioniq vs Toyota Prius

Once both vehicles are available, however, more of the comparing will continue. Price wise, the Ioniq Blue is about $3000 below the base Prius Two Eco. But, I think the comparison we'll see more of is that the Prius was (still is) a main name in the Hybrid world. With the efficiency of the IONIQ EV,...

RE:IONIQ Electric on order in Europe

Congratulations! Let us know when you get any updates!

Also wondering - did you actually pre-order the IONIQ EV with Hyundai, or did you put down a deposit with a dealership?
