Re: Hyundai Ioniq to be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo

It should have a good price if they make them there. I wonder how India rates in terms of recharging facilities...

Re: Solar Panels and Electric Cars: Can I Use Solar as an EV charger?

That's a sensible idea for sure! We're going to have to start taking approaches like that seriously. For an EV owner it would certainly be ideal.

Re: Going To Basic: Electric Cars 101

That would be an interesting solution... charge your battery as you drive - as long as the sun shines! I saw a picture of a "carport" for an EV that was made of solar panels. I think we'll see more of that as EVs become more popular.

It would be really strange standing on a corner listening to those sounds go by! They sound a bit like alien invaders.

That's a good article. Electric vehicles would likely be a summer car in areas with extremely cold winters!

Re: Best electric cars 2017: Volkswagen, Tesla and more

When you're talking about a difference in range of 10 or 20 miles I'm not sure it makes that much difference. There are so many factors that affect the range that it's hard to compare. As long as the optimum range is adequate, then each owner will develop their own personal range parameters... Hopef...

Re: Hyundai Sets Date For ItsVoice Controlled Ioniq EV

Re: 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Review By WHAT CAR

I don't know for sure but that would make sense. Unless you're in the northern central states like Montana or North Dakota, I can't imagine there would be a lot of demand for heated steering wheels in the U.S. ... or block heaters...

Re: Going To Basic: Electric Cars 101

Thanks. That's a very comprehensive article, and easy to understand. One interesting thought that I hadn't come across before is the challenge that we'll face when EVs become the norm rather than the exception. It will have a significant effect on the power grid with people charging their EVs simult...

Re: The best and worst electric cars 2017

THat's a very interesting article. The Ioniq rated quite well. If they had included price as a consideration, the Ioniq would have topped the list!
