I agree - the Ioniq is a great looking little car and has lots of good features. It's going to give the Prius a run for its money.

That could be part of the motivation, as the first delivery dates should be within the next couple of months. http://electrameccanica.com/ca/delivery-dates-ca/ With a $20,000 price tag, having a $6,000 subsidy is pretty sweet. It must be fairly popular already as they're projecting production of 400...

I hadn't thought about the reduced maintenance... that's another real plus! But I would think that any maintenance that is required is probably best left to trained technicians - as with most new cars, there would be a lot of electronic parts.
