Re: Vehicle owners tend to keep their cars for only 2 - 4 years

This is typical behavior for battery electrics of all makes, due to rapid change of technology (longer range and faster charging, for example) and very high depreciation (the 2013 LEAF lease returns are selling about 25% of their new price from 3-4 years ago).

Re: Hyundai USA ad

Apparantly you can't - this forum S/W doesn't allow it. It looks like the only way for a generic user to do it would be to create an identical post on another thread, then delete this one.

(A moderator could simply move it, though)

Re: Hyundai USA ad

could you please move this to the "Pictures, Videos of the Hyundai IONIQ" forum ??

That is "A place to gather all media of the IONIQ EV and PHEV", including news reports, articles, and videos.

Thx!!

Re: Canadian Availability

Hyundai is taking people for fools and looks like they don't care about consumers by not saying a word!! I don't agree. Hyundai appears to be operating under old assumptions on new car introductions and a false/miss informed view of the Canadian interest in EVs. They appear to have conflicting view...

Re: Canadian Availability

Damper? This is not about excitement rather it is about losing sales and trust in Hyundai /dealerships You'd think companies would realize that authentic honesty and full disclosure is much better than what they've done in the past of carefully managed announcements, rollouts and silence when somet...

If you don't live in north america, it doesn't matter. I'm assuming you don't , because if you did - well, then you'd already know.

Re: No more 12 Volt Battery

Most (?all?) EVs (hybrids & BEVs) use a traditional (heavy) lead/acid 12V battery to power the accessories (dash, power windows, door locks) and to start the gas engine (if it has one). The Ioniq does not- it uses (a portion of) the Li_Ion battery pack that it already has, AND has the possibilit...

Re: Cash incentives double for electric car buyers

The Solo costs $19,888 CAD (US$15,000) before any rebate or tax credit.

And yes, it is a trike (three wheels). It also only transports ONE person.
