Re: 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

It's becoming embarrassing to post on this forum given that 90% of the content seems to be posted by a spambot. The same spambot, using about 10 different names posts to all the 'quiet' forums on this website. Most annoying of all is that the spambot replies to its own fake posts with fake comments....

Re: 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

The Navigation system on the car I drove came with a choice of two languages. English and Korean. In both there is a spoken female voice that gives directions. In Korean only I have voice recognition software, which I have briefly tested and found to be fairly useless. I tend not to use the navigati...

Re: Range of the Ioniq Electric vs speed and temperature

Making a comment from a short preview of your quadratic data. The numbers for the slower speeds <80km/h look reasonable, we have quite a lot of real data for this. The numbers for the faster speeds >120km/h look much too optimistic, we don't have enough real data for judging this yet though. Great i...

Re: Range of the Ioniq Electric vs speed and temperature

If the temperature is lower than 35C, and the car isn't already really hot, then I wouldn't worry about occasionally fast charging. I fast charged quite a lot when I drove the Ioniq. - 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric For now the best data we have on how the Ioniq EV would behave while charging a...

Re: Range of the Ioniq Electric vs speed and temperature

humungus: yes this car will work really well for short commutes and normal driving speeds. Hyundai's marketing sometimes gives the impression that this car is a low budget version of a Tesla. It isn't. I should have added a couple of comments to my last post about driving at 150km/h. This is not a c...

Re: Range of the Ioniq Electric vs speed and temperature

If you want to extend your chart with faster speeds. I estimate a range of 110km driving at 140-160 with temperatures 6-10C. This data is from the trip made here - http://myioniq.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=73&start=50#p905 The Ioniq EV was driven fast to deplete the battery down as quickl...

Re: Range of the Ioniq Electric vs speed and temperature

Great idea to do a range chart at different speeds / temperatures. Here is one more for your data set. - http://www.mykiasoulev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=658&p=5147 Jeju EV Rally - The winner was the IONIQ EV with a Fuel Economy of 12.1km/kWh (Max Hypermiling Range would be about 339km) ...
