Re: 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

I have updated the sections Charging and Safety Features with some new info I found in the owner's manual. Also this review does seem to suggest that The Ioniq EV is fun to drive in the mountains. from Next Green Car Hyundai Ioniq Electric review ... As with many EVs, the acceleration times don't so...

Re: 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

I really enjoyed the road trip, despite never using the car in 'Sport' mode, never testing the zero - 60 acceleration and never driving faster than 130km/h. The best reviewer comment I have found for this car is perhaps the 'IONIQ Electric is well positioned for normal driving'. This advertisement f...

Re: 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

A comment about marketing. (The first 3 photos are from http://oddangzzigae.blog.me/220810559323 , the latter 3 are mine) One of my stops on the trip was at the new shopping mall Starfield Hanam. This is where the new Tesla store is being built. A couple of doors along from Tesla was the Ioniq Store...

Re: 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

A mention of the safety features. This car was the highest trim with all the additional safety features. It does not have auto-park. As standard it has a rear view camera and 8 ultrasonic sensors. The rear view has curving grid lines. When parking you hear beeps if you get too close to an object. ht...

Re: 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

Here's some shots of the interior. I really like the paddle shifters for changing the regen. The left paddle goes up 0 -> 1 -> 2 -> 3. The right paddle goes down. Level 0 (no regen = coasting) is fantastic for freeway driving. Level 3 (max regen) is fantastic for coming down a steep windy mountain r...

Re: 1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

This set of photos is from a Hyundai Service Center. I turned up just to get a free charge. There were a lot of Ioniq Hybrids in the Center having been recalled for a fuel injection problem, but I was the only Electric. They offered to service the car after charging. I got an upgrade to the Low Volt...

1750km Test Drive in Ioniq Electric

I recently got to spend a week test driving the Ioniq Electric around South Korea. Here's some photos. Apologies if there are missing images. It means tinypic is offline. I am now testing abload.de - there are a few full size photos from this trip here - http://www.abload.de/gallery.php?key=jDIbDEab...
