Re: 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Electric Limited Quick Take

It's a good article.... again the advantages of the Ioniq are highlighted! There's no doubt the Ioniq Electric faces a stiff rival in the Chevrolet Bolt EV that boasts a range of 238 miles to the Ioniq's 124, but along with a roomier cabin, lower starting price and arguably sleeker design, the Ioniq...

Re: Hyundai Ioniq hybrid, PHEV and EV expected by early 2018

Interesting to know that Australia has a "fledgling" market. With the expanse of the outback I think it will be a while before anyone can go touring around Australia in an electric vehicle! But in the cities it would sure be an advantage.

Re: 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Electric: how 'Unlimited' subscription really works

Another reference... Ioniq Unlimited+ owners can enjoy their full driving experience worry-free, because there are no mileage penalties during the 36-month subscription period. The program also includes reimbursement for electricity used by the owner, based on the number of miles driven, up to the f...

Re: 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Electric: how 'Unlimited' subscription really works

From my reading, leasing is for a specific vehicle, while subscription allows you to change vehicles a number of times during the year. So you might switch from a car to a van, for example, if you're going on holidays, then switch back to a car. However, the Ioniq subscription doesn't appear to foll...

$100 isn't much to pay... considering that EVs don't contribute through gas taxes. The roads have to be paid for somehow.

I agree - that's the key to everything - producing a battery that's efficient, lightweight and durable.

Re: Stop putting slow chargers in public places

I agree that people will need to have access to fast charging... and would be willing to pay a premium to get it. Hopefully the providers will see the wisdom in making an investment in fast charging capability - it will pay off in the long run.

Re: Hyundai Pricing in Mississauga Ontario

Those are pretty good prices... I think the electric isn't due until fall or even early 2018 so it will be a while before we get pricing.

Re: Timing of the Ioniq

I saw an ad today on tv for the Ioniq. Now that it's becoming available, I think there'll be a big push. It has advantages over the Prius so I think it will be a strong competitor.
