The world's largest electric vehicle maker hits a speed bump lately with the Chinese government reducing the subsidiaries for electric car purchases.
BYD out of southern China is the world's biggest EV producing company. Typically they have been producing 900 car bodies a day but right now only 500 cars a day are filling the required quota. There is speculation that the drastic reduction in subsidiaries and tax incentives from the Chinese Government are to blame. Interestingly enough just a few months ago the Chinese subsidiaries were all over the EV news
