Canadian government to spend 7 million on charging stations

This is really great but where are the Thousand charging stations going to be mostly located in the East seeing that the company of energy is from Quebec I am suspicious that very little of that 7 million will reach the West Coast. The article is very vague and doesn't give any details at all

This is all good. Read Seattle is getting 20 more stations too recently but are they fast charging? The slow charging stations in the middle of no where are useless and a waste of tax payers money

It does say "across the nation"... so should have a positive effect everywhere. It's a move in the right direction - another 1000 charging stations will be a significant improvement.

Across the nation - the prairie provinces are not getting on the EV change. So we have Quebec, Ontario and BC who see the importance of having EV's but have to share the charging stations with provinces who aren't even offering tax incentives or rebates on electric vehicle purchases

It's a real chicken-and-egg situation. Part of the incentive to purchase an electric vehicle comes from the availability of charging stations. So one way to build interest is to make charging more available everywhere. It's hard to expect interest to grow without the infrastructure available.
