Hyundai Unveils New Ioniq Electric Trim In South Korea That Costs Only ~$16,300 (After Incentives)

Fri Mar 31, 2017 7:11 pm

The price is ridiculously cheap, isn't it? I don't know how is that possible. The pricing details must be different in South Korea than in the US.

why would the new trim option increase the rate of electric vehicle (EV) adoption? Because it’s relatively cheap, only running buyers 18.4 million won (~$16,300) after government incentives there are taken into account.

BTW, I couldn't find the detailed South Korean price list. Can anyone in the Hyundai Ioniq forum help me out?

The incentives must be impressive in South Korea to lower the price that much! It's interesting how so many countries are promoting the use of electric vehicles but North America is slow on the uptake.
