No more 12 Volt Battery

Most (?all?) EVs (hybrids & BEVs) use a traditional (heavy) lead/acid 12V battery to power the accessories (dash, power windows, door locks) and to start the gas engine (if it has one). The Ioniq does not- it uses (a portion of) the Li_Ion battery pack that it already has, AND has the possibility to re-charge the "12V" portion of the pack using the rest of the batteries in the EV.

It just means no separate 12V battery - no big deal, really (despite what Hyundai says).
