Seems Lotte Rental has just made a big order for the Ioniq EV. 6000 cars. That's the entire production run for the next 4 months.

175km at -2ºC. That seems nice!! 15.5kw/100km!!

I saw a video of a Kia soul from a guy here in Canada. He did the test driving for around 20km with cruise at 100km/hr and outside temperature around 5-6ºC. He got 22.4kw/100km with Heating and 19.5kw/100km for the same range without heating.

Now with the Ioniq, with a colder temperature he got 15.5kw/100km is amazing!
Can wait to try it my self!!!

Hyundai just unveiled a concept autonomous drive Ioniq EV at the LA auto show.

The original source of info for all the media below is Hyundai News - HYUNDAI MOTOR COMPANY INTRODUCES NEW AUTONOMOUS IONIQ CONCEPT AT AUTOMOBILITY LOS ANGELES
All these photos and many more are in the original press release. None of the journalists reporting this created any original content, or added any of their own thoughts.

Some nice photos on the Hybrid Cars website - Hyundai Unveils Autonomous Ioniq Concept in Los Angeles.

There's a bit more detail at Green Car Congress - Hyundai introduces new autonomous IONIQ concept at AutoMobility LA

And some closeup photos from the New York Daily News - First Look: Hyundai's self-driving Ioniq EV concept makes autonomy look normal

A cluster of cameras is stashed behind the rearview mirror near the top of the Ioniq's windshield.

Hyundai has hidden the lidar detector below the front license plate and a smart cruise control radar device behind the front badge.

I have discussed the existing optional Safety features earlier in this thread. Newly announced is a conceptual fully autonomous car.

I have no info about pricing in North America. Presumably that will be released shortly before the cars are actually imported. My guess is deliveries will be delayed until the Spring (or later), because there is a backlog of orders to fill in the other markets. Priority seems to be 1/ Korea 2/ Europe 3/ North America

Although if you watch this speech from the LA auto show, at 11 minutes the speaker does say the cars will be here next month. We'll see.
