Hyundai IONIQ Electric Car Technology Could Filter Into Other Hyundai Automobiles

Hyundai UK product boss Mark Baxter has revealed to Autocar that the technology found in the IONIQ battery-electric may make its way into other Hyundai models in the future.

Quoting Baxter:

“We could potentially look at introducing it [IONIQ electric technology] into other bodystyles.”

“C-segment vehicles could be an opportunity to move into, but at this stage nothing has been confirmed.”

Hyundai IONIQ trio, EV, Hybrid and Plugin looks really promising. If the price it right and the cars sell well it can be a solid competitor to Tesla.

The Hyundai ioniq phev is slated to get a range of 32 miles or 52 kilometers. I don't quite understand how the charging works, do businesses voluntarily provide charging stations or is it a provincial or federal mandate?

Hyundai says it will offer 22 new hybrid , plug-in hybrid, BEV n FCV models by 2020 .Hopefully the release of the Hyundai ioniq will prove success for their ambitions

The Hyundai ioniq electric vehicle estimates170 kilometers on a full charge if they could infiltrate that into all of their vehicles it would be heaven on Earth lol

The Hyundai IONIQ and all EV's for that matter are extremely effecient. Upto 80% of the energy from the battery goes directly towards the power or pick up of the car where as gas run vehicles on ly 14 - 26% of the power is used. Infiltrating EV or PHEV models into the entire automotive industry is smart.
